Happiness is...

There is NOTHING more important than feeling good. We all kind of know this but it's a hard one for us to fully, deeply, profoundly realise. When you know this in your bones, then life get's really good!

Take a deep look: When we get right down to fundamentals, it matters not a jot what shiny trinkets we own, where we hang out, what we wear, what we look like, what our work is, how much money we have amassed, who we've partnered up with.......

If we don't feel good from the inside out then it all matters not a jot. Just meaningless froth. An empty feeling lingers. There is never enough. We have to fight and struggle to keep all that we've amassed. What if we loose it/him/her/them? We have to keep fighting. It's exhausting.

The good news is that there is another way. There is more. So much more. And we don't have to struggle and fight. And it is already within each of us. This is very important to know - It Is Already.

Happiness is an inside job. Always has been. Always will be.

We don't need to look for 'it' outside ourselves. We don't need to chase after 'it'. The stuff 'outside' won't cut it. We loose it. It gets old. Lost. Breaks down. Leaves. Changes. Dies. But the stuff inside - ah, now that's different.

Sound odd? Well yes, we don't know how to do this. We think we have to get everything right outside ourselves in order to be happy. The right this, the right that, the right other. And that's lovely. But deep down I think we all have an uneasy sense that tells us that all of that isn't where it's at. Not really. Even if it's a very vague sense, most people can dimly detect this.

So if it's not outside of ourselves we are left with inside. Within. Home. Where the heart is. It's the Heart of Well Being . It always was and it will always be. Ahh.... how comforting.

As we become more aware, more conscious, more mindful, we begin to see that this endless search for happiness is futile. So sad. So disappointing. "I will be happy when...." just doesn't work! Even if you never actually say that out loud, you may still be harbouring it as a deep belief.


Come and experience

Ghandi said it: "Be the change you want to see in the world."

Think about this. How do you want to be? Keep it simple. How would you changing make for a better life experience? How would this ripple out?

Set your intention to be the change you want to see. It has to start with intention. It's not a random luck thing. You do it. You be it.

Setting your intention is only possible in this present moment. Not next week. Or later when you sort out such and such. Change is only found in the present moment. This moment. Happiness is only found in the present. In this present moment. You can create it right now. In this very moment. And it's an inside job. Set your intention.
